Floor plansFor over 40 years, Canada's Log People has been building the finest handcrafted log homes in the world. Our homes are built primarily with Engelmann spruce, Douglas fir and lodgepole pine, although we occasionally use western red cedar. The logs we use average an average diameter of 12 to 16 inches (or more) and the close-grained wood is between 80 and 140 years old. We place a high priority on sustainable forestry; Foresters in Canada selectively harvest their timber from designated forest areas, which are then replanted within two years. As another measure of quality, over 95% of our wood meets the highest premium/select standard of the Wood Products Inspection Grading System. From cozy Albertan to majestic British Columbia to Kentucky cottage vibes, you're sure to find the log or wood home you've always dreamed of.
